In a rousing finale of glory, Team Obscure defeated Team Falcon in 4 rounds, 3 – 1, in the Elite Squad Championship 2019 Grand Finals held last August 25th at the Playpark All-stars in the Glorietta 2 Activity Center. Congratulations to Team Obscure, and what a fight!
The reigning CUS Ultimate Champions took their Bellato opponents from the 1st Year War, Team Falcon, to their limits, as their constant offensive barrage rained down upon the battlefield. All rounds had taken more than 5 mins except for the sole 3rd round that Falcon won: indicating a solid implementation of a gameplan from Obscure that had been adapted to work again in the 4th and final round to clinch the title.
Attrition was the name of the game wherein consistent pressure was applied by the Corites, powering through the heals and MAU health of their opponents, eventually winning them the set in grueling back-and-forths that exhausted both teams… but Obscure showed quite a bit more mettle as they held onto the finish.
Congratulations to Team Falcon as well for pushing to the very end, and giving the most explosive competition at the All-stars.
